"Seven Star Scenic Area - Qixia Temple" Guilin Things to Do Tip by Willettsworld
Guilin Things to Do: 201 reviews and 415 photos
This was the only temple I came across whilst in Guilin. It's located near the western entrance to the Seven Star Scenic Area on the eastern side of the Li River. The temple was originally built during the Tang dynasty (618-907 A.D.) but was changed from a Buddhist to a Taoist temple during the Yuan dynasty (1206-1368) and then to a Longevity Hall in the Ming dynasty. It was then changed once again in the Qing dynasty and was restored in 2002. More photos can be found in my travelogues.
