This island is one of 4 in the Marine Park. It it beautiful and the water warm.

I went for a day to snorkle, and I had a wonderful time. It was a pity that a lot of the coral site is a coral graveyard, but further out the coral is regenerating. The fish are a sight to see as well, and will eat from your hand.

As you come in on the wharf, there is an area set aside to feed the fish (not by hand) trhat is quite something to see.

WARNING - The beach has many small pieces of coral on it, taking reef shoes or sandles you can wear while swimming for comfort and safety

Do not use a tour for this trip. The tour operators will charge you like RM170 for the trip, yes you will see 3 islands briefly, and have a BBQ lunch they island put on.

I paid RM28 in total to get here and return, and for lunch I paid RM2.50 at a food hawker stall for some nasi goering, it was great. difference is RM142 - where does that go???

See my next tip for the Island jogging track

Address: Tunku Abdul Tahman marine park
Directions: Get a boat from Jesselton Pier at the end of town. There are a few groups there that arrange passage.

Search for the day tour and some even quote higher than RM170, is that without a tour do able to Manukan and Sapi islands, I am planning this in Sept, thanks.
