"The Market Hall" Moreton in the Marsh Things to Do Tip by leics
Moreton in the Marsh Things to Do: 7 reviews and 10 photos
Although it looks old, the Redesdale Market Hall is actually Victorian (1837-1901) and built in the 'Tudor' style.
It was designed by Sir Ernest George, and built in 1887 from the local honey-coloured limestone. It has four arches which originally formed an arcade, but are now filled in.
The Redesdales were a wealthy local family, who were benefactors of the town.
Address: High Street
