"Sweet Home Blue Chicago!" Blues Clubs Tip by Jefie

When we spotted Blue Chicago around the corner from our hotel, we thought we simply could not skip on the experience of catching a live blues music show in Chicago, the "Blues Capital of the World"! Blue Chicago is a small but very popular club, and it was filled with a nice mix of tourists and locals. Linsey Alexander's band (http://www.linseyalexander.com) happened to be playing that night, and they sure showed us a really good time! Although we tried standing at the edge of the dance floor at the beginning of the show, someone told us to move forward and considering his size, there was no arguing with him. So we ended up right next to the stage and after we'd had a Goose Island beer, there was no stopping us from dancing all night long! I couldn't leave without buying Linsey Alexander's CD, which came with an autograph, a big hug and a kiss!

Admission was $10, and it gave access to both Blue Chicago clubs, which are located just a short walk away on the same street (pretty cool if you want to catch two different bands). There's also a small souvenir store where you can get t-shirts, posters and so on.
