Alcazar, Sevilla: 134 reviews and 307 photos

The Alcazar was built as a fortress and during the 12th century as a royal palace for Pedro (The Cruel). There are numerous sections to the fort like the Patio de las Doncellas, La Casa de Contratacion, Salon de Embajadores (added by Charles V) as well as beautiful gardens and pools. The architecture is quite Moorish and reminiscent of the Alhambra in Granada. Not much remains of the original buildings these days.
