I could give a long list of awesome restaurants to go to but I'd rather just give an informative list of popular dishes and what is exactly in them for the picky traveler.

Favorite Dish: SOM TAM - traditionally made with shredded green papaya, palm sugar, fish sauce, chili peppers, dried shrimp, fresh raw crab, lime, garlic, and peanuts. All ingredients are mashed with a motor and pistol and served with a a wedge of cabbage, cucumbers, and a few raw long beans. Since each order is made individually you can control what goes into your order. This is one of my favrite dishes.

Pad Thai - your choice of meat, thin rice noodles stir fried with egg, bean sprouts, tofu, onions, tamarind paste, palm sugar, and fish sauce. Served with fresh bean sprouts and a wedge of lime and crushed peanuts.

Rad Na - thick fat rice noodles stir fried with chinese broccoli your choice of meat, and onions in a rich soy based gravy seasoned with white pepper.

Gai Pad Gra Pow - Chicken and basil stir fried with chilis and onion usually served over rice.

Green or Red Curry - your choice of meat flash fried in hot oil with onions and garlic and baby corn. Afterwards simmered in coconut milk curry paste combo and served with white rice.

Spicy Glass Noodle Salad - Spicy glass noodle salad with your choice of meat tossed in a spicy dressing mad with fish sauce , lime juice, chilies, sugar and garlic. Cilantro and red and gree onions are also tossed into the salad.
