At Wangfujing Street food and other street stalls, you can try your fear factor challenge of eating barbecue scorpions. One stall have the scorpions still alive and moving.
I watched several Western tourists trying them out just for kicks. Probably rich in proteins and calcium and phosphate. About 20 yuan per stick.
Anyway, it is fun to watch others eating it. There are other grubs, bugs, starfish if scorpions are not enough.
