Five beach accesses ranging from the southern tip of the island to just south of the village of Boca Grande, make up Gasparilla Island State Recreation Area. Sandspur beach access is the first access to the public beach. It has shaded picnic tables and good restroom/changing facilities and it is a safe swimming area. You have to pay to park.
