Although probably no longer functioning, Sabil al-Khazneh (or Khazna) was built as a charitable water fountain. It was donated to the city by the Mamluke governor of Damascus, Emir Saifeddine Jarkas, in 1405 AD. The most interesting feature is the arch above the fountain which is believed to have come from an abandoned Crusader building. This fountain is located next to Minaret of al-Qali on Rashid Joukhadar Street, the narrow path parallel to the western end of Via Recta and leading to Bab al-Jabiyeh.

Address: Rashid Joukhadar Street
