The old city centre of Bergedorf in the western part of Hamburg is worth seeing because of plenty of old halftimbered houses but the most beautiful is without doubt the beautiful half-timbered church, that you will see in my main photograph ! Unfortunately the church is not open to the public, but it looks great already from outside. Opposite of the church you will see an old inn (my 3rd picture), also with a beautiful and ornate facade. A bit outside of the city-centre of Bergedorf there is also an old wind-mill, it is privately owned and you can see just its outside from the fence, where I took my photo (my 4th photograph)
You may get easily to Bergedorf by S2 or the regional-train R20. Both are leaving at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. Bergedorf is still inside the tarif of section A+B, that is included in the day-tickets of the HVV and the Hamburg-card !
