The main drawing card for Pinery Provincial Park is the beach - 10 km of sandy beaches - perfect for walking barefoot. In the day use portion of the park there are eight beach parking lots. I cannot imagine what it must be like in July and August, but in September there were not more than two cars in any of the parking lots.

We walked barefoot for an hour and an hour back. In September we ran into more vultures than people. The vultures were working their way through a washed-up fish with sea gulls on the periphery in case the larger vultures left the carcass for a moment.
