"I got to Helsinki by train..." Finland Transportation Tip by Anya_D

Finland Transportation: 105 reviews and 71 photos

I got to Helsinki by train from Moscow, leaving on 22:50 and arriving 11:30. Very convenient. There are also planes to take you there, or you can take a ferry boat from Stockholm (~11 hours) or Tallin (~1-3 hours). There are boats from Germany too, but it is a long trip.
Getting around by car is very convenient, if you are not planning to travel very long distances. Even if you are, you will not be disappointed: the roads in Finland are excellent for driving. Speed limits in cities and other settlements are 40 km per hour, 80 outside the settlements, and 120 on motorways.
