Sitting at the top of the stairs, along with other symbols of the Imperial rule, is the Imperial Sundial.
This Sundial forms part of the Hall of Supreme Harmony where, the largest hall in the city. The Hall of Supreme Harmony was used for special occasions such as “inauguration of the emperor.”
