Winslow's is a new wine cafe in the Cultural District on Camp Bowie Road. It's been completely restyled from a former antique/what-not shop to a sleek cafe.
From the moment we entered, the service was excellent. We were greeted quickly and given a choice of where we wanted to be seated. A wine bar and small tables sat near the entrance, while an intimate sized dining area with glowing fire awaited us in the rear. We sat where we could appreciate the fireplace.
After reading over the menu, we selected the cheese and olive board appetizer ($20). It included four select cheeses, marinated olives, nuts, craisins and grapes with small rounds of toast to accompany the appetizer. We made a very good choice.
Winslow wisely located across from our favorite gallery, Kornye West. I think this appealing wine cafe will certainly attract some of those clients.
