The town's central square featuring an obligatory statue of Lenin and an eternal flame at a World War II memorial.
There is an inscription in Russian and in Latvian (or Lithuanian) with the names of lost soldiers. I don?t know why it was made in two languages ? may be a Latvian (or Lithuanian) division or regiment were formed there during WWII.

You may watch my high resolution photo of Borovsk on the Google Earth according to the following coordinates 55 12' 28.03" N 36 28' 59.38" E or on my Google Earth Panoramio Eternal flame at a World War II memorial.
