The campsite in Húsavík is located up on a hill right as you leave town. It has got two campgrounds, the lower level which is on even ground - and the upper level which is up a hill. This is a good campground, with cooking facilities, toilets and sinks, although I did not spot a shower. But Húsavík swimming pool is just across the road a little closer to town (you walk for 4 minutes) and the swimming pool is top noch. You pay the fee for one night in the white caravan right next to the cottage where the kitchen is located. The campground is only open during the summer time, i.e. 1.6 - 31.8. Húsavík has got a lot of things to do and it is called the Whale-watching town of Iceland.
