%While Allan and I were on the Architectural River Tour, we saw people enjoying the view and the food at a riverside restaurant called O'Briens Riverside Cafe. That's when Allan suggested that after the tour, we should walk to it, which is what we did.

The waiter, who was quite efficient, took the photograph of Allan and I next to our table. [Photo#1] I love this photograph because it shows how 45 years of marriage to the same man can be "awesome".

The menu is rather small, but it is appropriate for a sidewalk cafe. It features burgers, steak sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, beer, wine and spirits.

The Riverwalk goes from Lake Street to Lake Shore Drive. You can reach the Riverwalk from Lower Wacker to reach bike rentals and small cafes.

Photo #2 shows O'Briens Riverwalk Cafe on a lovely August afternoon.

The Cafe is open from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily during the spring, summer, and early fall.

Favorite Dish: Allan decided to order a Chicago Hot Dog with fries. I really like Photo #3 which shows Allan's "playside" side. He loved the Hot Dog, but most Chicago people would frown because he does not put mustard, but rather catsup, on his hot dog!

I chose their featured salad, which I really enjoyed. Photo #4 shows what a lovely salad it is. It has fresh lettuce leaves, chopped tomatoes, crisp real bacon bits, blue cheese crumbles, and a delish and light salad dressing.

We both cleaned our plates and were quite satisfied we our choices and our choice to eat at O'Briens Riverwalk Cafe. See the lovely scene in Photo#5
