  Taj from Western side

Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal she was died in 1631 A.D.The Taj Mahal is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture,a style that combines elements of Persian, Indian and Islamic architecture. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 when it was described as a "universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.Taj Mahal itself stands in a raised squre platform. The four minarets at each corner of the plinth provide a perfect balance to the tomb.It looks the same from all the four sides, in the North Yamuna river, South green garden with beautiful fountains, Western Red sand stone Mosque, Estern side another Red sand stone bulding looks like Mosque but this is not Mosque. This all gives charming looks to the Taj Mahal. All the visiters enter the Taj Mahal complex from South Red sand stone gate, as one enters the gateway the Taj comes into full view like a chaste dream come thorugh.
