Carluccio's: "Good Italian chain" Cambridge Restaurant Tip by Gyppo

Cambridge Restaurants: 176 reviews and 269 photos

Carluccio's is part of the chain of Carluccio's Caffes. It's an attractive restaurant, featuring a mini delicatessen in its entrance. The staff were very good, only attentive when necessary. The wines we had were all more than acceptable, and the food was very pleasant - simple and filling. They were happy to change one of the dishes to make it vegetarian. I felt that Carluccio's was pretty good value for money.

Pic to follow

Favorite Dish: The best dish I had there was the gnocchi with spinach and gorgonzola. Perhaps just a little rich, so could have done with a tiny bit more spinach, but that's being picky. One of my companions had the sea bass - very plain cooking style, which was good for the fish, apparently.
