Hotel Turkmenistan has an excellent central location in the city not far from the museums, the presidential palace. The hotel is located just behind the Arch of Neutrality, so from our hotelroom we could see the golden statue of the president at top of the arch and watched how this statue turned around during the day, depending of where the sun was.

The outside of the hotel looked bright in white and green colours. The inside, especially the corridors and rooms had a dark atmosphere. The rooms were ok, luckily with airco and the bathroom was working well. We had a quite room at the backside. The breakfast includes pancake, baked eggs, cheese, bread, yoghurt , tea and coffee.

Address: Bitarap Turkmenistan Sayoli 19, Ashgabat
Price Comparison: about average
Directions: The hotel has a central location, one block north of the Arch of Neutrality and the Earthquake Memorial
Phone: 350544/350960
Price: US$20-40
