The Green Parrot has been operating since 1926 in Wellington and has a grand tradition of providing some rather large meals. The set up is rather basic with vinegar the condiment of choice awaiting you at your table. The tables are older formica topped style with olden looking seats that are still very comfortable. Service is quick and easy with the staff very friendly and eager to help. I come here by myself, while on business in our nations capital, before wandering down Courtenay Place and a look through a bookshop or two.

Favorite Dish: The menu is oriented towards steak with the T Bone possibly the largest you will find at any restaurant in New Zealand. At $37 it is a bit pricey but worth the money in my books. Before you order, bread and butter is served to the table lol.
