"Great hotel near Tivoli and central station" Scandic Webers Tip by SandiMandi
Scandic Webers, Copenhagen: 137 reviews and 7 photos
Scandic Webers is very well located near Tivoli amusement park and the central station. Practically all the main sights are within walking distance. When you arrive at the station, you'll reach the hotel in few minutes by foot. It's a nice old building with recently renovated interior and refurbished rooms.
Checking in and out was quick, as I had paid my room in advance. Got a very good deal on the Scandic website, 495 DKK (~66 EUR)/single room/night. Had asked for an early check-in and my room was ready at noon when I arrived.
All the rooms are differently designed, but all have the same clear Scandinavian style and sense of quality. I got a bright room on the 4th floor (5th if you count the ground floor as the first) with a view to the inner courtyard and the neighbouring building (it was quite close but it didn't bother me). The room was small, but adequate for one person. The bathroom looked nice, but was a bit unpractical; the sink was too small to wash your face properly and when taking a shower, the whole bathroom floor got wet.
Breakfast buffet was the basic Scandic breakfast: plentiful and tasty. But I must say that it wasn't as plentiful as I had in Helsinki where I stayed a couple days before visiting Copenhagen. The best dish in Webers IMHO were the sweet pastries; so delicious (and so unhealthy)! The breakfast was served downstairs under the street level, it was spacious and peaceful room with a modern decor. On a sunny day you could also enjoy your breakfast outside in the atrium.
All in all, had a pleasant 2 nights' stay and would definitely stay at Webers again!
Unique Qualities: There are several grocery stores nearby, like 7eleven in almost every street corner and IRMA supermarket can be found next to Tivoli. There's also a Scandic shop in the hotel, just next to the reception that's open 24/7 and sells everything from food to tooth brushes.
There's no sauna or fitness facilities in Webers, but its guests can use the fitness area, sauna and solarium free of charge at Scandic Copenhagen, located about 100 m from Webers.
Address: Vesterbrogade 11, Copenhagen
Comparison: about average
Directions: When arriving at the central station, exit the main entrance, then walk towards Vesterbrogade, turn left and the hotel is about 200 m on the left side of the street.
