Spork: "Quirky in the Mission" Spork - CLOSED Tip by Hopkid

Spork - CLOSED, San Francisco: 1 reviews and 0 photos

Located in a former KFC, Spork wields lots of vintage charm while serving up fresh and creative meals during dinner. As all good restaurants seem to do these days, they alter their menu on a regular basis depending on what ingredients are fresh and available at the time. And as with many organizations in California, they do what they can to be as green as possible by sending out their used cooking oil to be made into biodiesel, using only sustainably, wild-caught seafood, and only serving all-natural meats.

On our visit we were lucky enough to be joined by Karen (karenincalifornia) and her husband Greg. The homemade rolls that come before the meal were great as was the accompanying honey butter. I had The Tasty Steak, which was a grilled American Kobe served with a Yukon potato puree, roasted mushrooms, and green beans. Everyone was very pleased with their meals and I'd certainly go back there the next time I'm in the City.
