  Very small cottage
by leics

This is a small cottage in which Peter the Great lived from 1714 to 1716, when he visited Kadriorg to oversee the construction of the palace and parkland.

It really is very, very small: just a couple of rooms, bedrooms and kitchen. It's been furnished appropriately, although only one or two items actually belonged to Peter.

It's nice to visit though, because it gives an idea of the simplicity Peter preferred (a most unusual trait in an Emperor of any type).

Address: Tram 1 or 3 to Kadriorg park entrance
Directions: On the left at the top of the gentle slope leading up from the park entrance.
Open Wed- Sun 11-7 in summer, 11-4 in winter.
