"Silo No. 5 (1903-1958)" Montreal Favorite Tip by yooperprof

Favorite thing: Abandoned grain storage facility - a quarter of a mile long, 19 stories high, with capacity for holding enough wheat to make 230 million loafs of bread!! Built in several stages from 1903 in 1958, it would take a nuclear explosion to bring this baby down!
The behemoth grain elevation is a landmark next to the Lachine Canal in the old port area. Many people have come with creative ideas for the silo, but whether any of the plans will be implements is anyone's guess.
