Garden Tea Room: "A Cuppa & some homebakes" Tarves Restaurant Tip by scottishvisitor

Sitting in the lovely homely tea room was like sitting in someone's private victorian living room. I was surprised to hear the Grandmother clock in the corner strike the hour - its timing was spot on as I checked my watch. The room held many interesting furnishings from the eighteenth century I particularly liked the painting above the home bakes. Adjoining the tea room there is a small shop, it is here you take your bill to pay for your drinks and homebakes.

Favorite Dish: The tea room serves teas and coffee as well as some cold drinks. If you want some of the homebakes this is self service. It was a very hot day (most unusual for us) when we visited so cold drinks were ordered, water and a large orange juice cost about 3.00 in total.
