"Free diving/snorkeling" Two Harbors Sports & Outdoors Tip by flynboxes

If you are not a certified diver or just to cheap to rent a tank as I can be you can free dive or snorkel. You can rent everything at the local dive shop or just bring a cheap mask from the mainland. The isand is littered with small coves and kelp patties that have fish wandering around them. The kelp forest to me are like wandering around a underwater forest.
Equipment: The two harbors dive shop or a Big Five on the mainland. If you ar going to swim thru the kelp try and bring a buddy and a knife. Divers have gotten tangled in the kelp and have drowned in the past. A dive knife will all you to free yourself should you get caught in it. If you are used to warm water a wetsuit is also recomended as water in the summer here will only reach the low 70's
