"Mayan Ruins of Coba" Coba Pyramids Tip by ermintrude_moo

Coba Pyramids, Tulum: 8 reviews and 16 photos

A 45 minute drive West of Tulum, Coba is definitely worth the road trip. The ruins are more spread out than the neighboring site in Tulum, nestled in the thick of the jungle. Hire bikes at the entrance to get around the site (don't forget your mosquito repellent, friends - this is the JUNGLE!), go on foot, or be lazy and have someone ride you round on a tricycle. You can still climb the highest pyramid here for incredible views! Guides are in abundance at the entrance so you can get the full historical lowdown if you want to cough up a little extra. Don't miss it - great day out!

Address: Coba, near Tulum / Valladolid
Directions: Head West at the San Francisco crossroads in Tulum and follow the signs to Coba. It takes around 45 minutes.
