Holker Hall was originally built in the 16th century. It is still inhabited by the descendants. Part of the house is open to the public. You can visit some beautiful rooms like the library, salon, dining room, billiard room and some bedrooms on the second floor. The rooms contains fine furniture and exquisite woodcarvings. Unfortunately, no photos are allowed inside. For photos of the interior you can have a look at their website (see below).
On the grounds, there is a big park (admission free), a deer park and beautiful garden, but also a gift shop, food hall and restaurant.
