Louvre, Paris: 796 reviews and 1,585 photos

Take your time, even 1 entire day to visit the museum.
The line to enter isn't that bad at all and ticket are sold internally at the various automatic machines where you can choose which ticket you want to buy.

Inside it's really crowdy, people everywhere, since this is a very very big museum and there's a lot to see, from Egyptian history, Paintings, etc... and you can't miss the Monna Lisa painting, well if you want to see that, take even more time, there's a lot of people there waiting to take a picture of the painting.

Here's something you will find inside the museum:

Egyptian antiquities
Greek, Etruscan, and Roman
Islamic art
Near Eastern antiquities
Prints and drawings

The whole Louvre collection has about 35,000 pieces shown on over 60,000 square metres.
The Louvre structure has been originated as a fortress and as well as a residence under the reign of Philip II.
Louvre has been opened to public only after the French Revolution, at that time it was intended as a symbol of the progress of Freedom.
