If you are interested in some forest trekking, MacRitchie Reservoir can be a good option. This is a water catchment area surrounded by forests and golf courses. Away from traffic and noisy city, you have a chance to enjoy nature. One of the highlights is the Treetop Walk which is a hanging bridge in the middle of the forest. You can encounter lots of monkeys along the way as well as some lizards and squirrels. The walk from the entrance to Treetop Walk is about 5.5 km and the roundtrip makes about 11 km. You also have an option to reach Bukit Timah Nature Reserve from MacRitchie, but I suggest seperating these walks rather than doing them all at once.
