Overpriced restaurants, Athens: 6 reviews and 3 photos
Politicians, actors, singers go there and the tavern's walls are filled with their photos bla bla bla...
Bairaktaris used to serve one of the best gyros in town and I would have recommended it for your first souvlaki in Greece some years ago. Now, it exploits its publicity being overpriced and downgrading food quality. Plus they don't even serve the traditional souvlaki (the filled pie), only dishes because they can charge them more. I was very dissapointed when I visited last year so was my family from abroad. It's way overrated. Don't go. Nearby there are many taverns where you can have souvlaki.
