The Royal Alexandra Provincial Bridge links Ottawa with Gatineau. The steel truss cantilever bridge was constructed by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1898-1900. Although the last train crossed the bridge in 1966, it is still used by thousands of vehicles and pedestrians every day.

A wide section of the bridge is reserved for bicycles and walkers.
