  st. catherine's passage
by doug48

st. catherine's passage is a narrow lane from alexander nevsky cathedral to lower tallinn. this narrow passage is the best way to walk back to old town square from toompea hill. it is a pretty good hike from lower tallinn to the alexander nevsky cathedral and the attractions of toompea hill. the walk takes about 30 minutes or you can take a cab for about $5. st. catherine's passage is quite steep going up the hill but it is a pleasant walk going down.

Address: Vene 12 - In the Old Town
Directions: Connects Vene and Müürivahe streets

Just to note, this description and image are not of St Catherine's Passage which in fact links Vene and Murivahe on the eastern side of the old town. This tip refers I think to Luhike jalg, which does indeed link the lower town to the Orthodox cathedral
