Dorchester Square has a very nice parkland and has an interesting history. Initially used as an apple orchard the property was purchased by the Parish of Notre Dame for use as a Roman Catholic cemetery during the 19th century.
In 1854 due to concerns raised by cholera epidemics the cemetry was moved to Mount Royal and the a park replaced the cemetery.
