"What to do in Thailand" Itinerary Ideas Tip by bulldogtwo

March is a good month but it is the hot and dry season. April is hotter! How many days in BKK?? That depends on what you want to see and do. Usually 2-4 days is plenty. You can ccatch a bus to Ayutthaya, probably the easiest unless you want to rent a car and driver, but its not that long of a trip, 3-4 hours by bus "I think." Although you can also take the train which would be just as relaxing.
You don't need a tour to go to the floating market. I would however suggest going the day before, stay overnight and get up early to see it before the tourist get there which is around 7:30 8am. There are supposed to be some nice rooms or bungalows over the klongs, always wanted to do that myself but have'nt gotten around to staying overnight. Best way to get around is rent a boat and go with the other boats and float amongst the hawkers. You can get some great food and have breakfast while you ae there, GREAT FOOD! The boats are quite expensive though, maybe 1500-2000 baht for a couple of hours.

As far as the islands go,it also depends on what you are looking for on the beach. All of them have some great water sports and water activities. Personally I think the Andaman coast has the best waters, that would be Phuket and Khao Lak areas, but I know Phi Phi is also a prime location. I would suggest getting on-line and checking out all of the places and what activities they have to offer compared to what you are looking for.

Have Fun!
