Favorite thing: Towards the end of our excursion, Jessica brought us to the bronze sculpture THE HEIDELBERG MONKEY which is situated west of the Old Bridge Gate. It's supposed to be good luck to rub the round mirror the monkey is holding or perhaps you could just stick your head inside the monkey's head like Stace (Beach_dog ) and Hans ( Waalewiener ) are doing in these pictures.
The sculpture by Professor Gernot Rumpf was installed there in 1979.
