Connie's Villas: "A Fabulous Place to Stay in Koh Samui" Thailand Hotel Tip by Laurie40

Spent two fantastic weeks at this little gem of a place in the hills 10 minutes drive from the busy town and beach of Lamai. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the peace and tranquility of Samui's rain forest edge is a real contrast to the exciting and vibrant nightlife just up the road.
The owners have built this little development of luxury villas to their own high specification, living there themselves. At the centre of the villas lies a wonderfuuly inviting swimming pool/jacuzzi and a great little bar run by local people.
The owners have recruited an excellent chef who produces some wonderful Thai and Western dishes.
Can't recommend this more highly for people that want great quality at a very reasonable price.
Unique Qualities: The emphasis is very much on the informal.
The whole resort only takes 24 people, so the site is never crowded and it is a joy to be able to come back from a "busy" day at the beach and slide into the empty pool clutching a bottle of Singha Beer (the local brew).
The site is only 1 year old but boasts some beautiful gardens full of interesting palms and flowering shrubs - every morning there seems to be a new set of blooms that seem to spring up overnight.
Just up the hill a short walk from the resort there is an elephant trekking centre, from which you can embark on a memorable and laughter-filled trek into the rain forest.
