"Stay in a traditional house" Top 5 Page for this destination Dar Mouna Tip by sachara

The second time we visited Ait ben Haddou we decided to stay two nights in Dar Mouna. It's a traditional family house, constructed in the ancient pisé architecture, which is turned into a nicily decorated guesthouse with 12 rooms, around a covered patio (picture 2).

The views at the kasbah from the panoramic terrace (picture 3) and the rooftop is great. Especially the sunrise is a spectacular experience from the terraces and the rooftop (picture 1). It's worth to get up early to look at the changing of colours at the kasbah, the mountains, the river and the surrounding landscape.

Unique Qualities: The hotel has a nice atmosphere by its architecture and lovely decorations. In the garden is a swimmingpool (picture 4) and a enclosed parking lot. Seven of the twelf comfortable rooms havr a view at the kasbah, the other five at the garden.

Directions: From Ouarzazate you take the N9 to Marrakech. After 25 km is the turnoff to Ait Ben Haddou. In the town the hotel is signposted at the main road at the right hand side.
