Australian 5th Division Memorial

Everyone knows that the Ypres region was the theater of major battles during the First World War. All parts of the world were virtually represented. Many army corps took part in the fighting.
Among other New Zealanders and Australians. They were involved in the Passchendaele sector and especially also Pollygone Wood where they suffered significant losses.
Nowadays an imposing hill overlooking the cemetery are buried soldiers of the ANZAC.
