Madrid Transportation: 420 reviews and 440 photos

The RENFE service "Ferrocarril de Cercanìas" is a system of suburban trains connecting Madrid with the nearby villages and towns like Getafe, Alcalà de Henares, Aranjuez, El Escorial etc.
There are 8 lines in the network and trains operates from 6 a.m. to 11.30 p.m.
Cercanias can also be used to move inside Madrid city centre: there is no station in the historical centre, but plenty of them all around its perimeter, like Atocha RENFE, Embajadores, Principe Pio and Recoletos
