"Steam train ride in the castle park" Karlsruhe Things to Do Tip by ATLC

Very enjoyable ride with the hooting and tooting steam train, right through the park of the Karlsruhe palace. It's a beautiful park so you get some nice sights. It was globetrott's idea to get there for the first ride on Sunday morning. No waiting! Lots of grandparents with grandchildren, hehehe.

When
21 March-30 September the train rides each Saturday, Sunday and holiday, every 20 minutes.
Saturdays from 13-19 hrs and Sundays/holidays from 11-19 hrs.
From 13 May-30 September also each Monday to Friday between 13-18 hrs.
Special rides (groups, reservations) can be arranged each day. The train does not ride in bad weather.
Price
Adults: € 2,20, children 2-15 years: € 1,30. Additional fee for the steam train is € 1 per ticket.
A family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) costs € 6,80 (with the steam train fee).

Now I figure that sometimes the steam train rides and sometimes another train (not steam). So the steam train is a bit more expensive.
