Lola's bills itself as a Spanish restaurant and it is located in the Bayou St. John neighborhood of New Orleans- a few miles from the French Quarter. The ambiance is somewhat bohemian and reminded me of a few cafes in San Francisco- full of lively art by locals and lively locals. They don't take reservations ,but we waited only about twenty minutes for a table on a busy Friday night. Cash only.

Favorite Dish: The Paella was so delicious as was the Ruby red trout. The garlic shrimp tapa appetizer was good as was a crab/ avocado appetizer. Also some tasty wine served and a competent and fun staff.
