Makes my mouth water thinking aout this!!!
A great littlegyros souvlaki place, set on the back street. On our first visit we had to eat indoors as it was pouring down and on the second, we also ate inside as it was windy. There are a couple of tables squashed into a little anex, room will always be made for you.
A very welcoming atmosphere where Joanna rushes about the place, taking orders and servng while Yiannis is in charg of the cooking.
We had gyros:1.8o
chicken souvlaki: 2.30
Gyros plate:5.50
Wine half: 2
Amstel:1.80
Coke (tin) 1.30
Also various dishes such as saganaki and frozen stuf as well as peppers stuffed with cheese which we never got round to trying. Pity. If only we had another couple of weeks........
Favorite Dish: Has to be the gyros as I pine for these back in England. The gyros plate was excellent but strangely the tzadziki had no garlic in it, which is odd coming from a French lady!!!!
Address: Koroni, Messinia
Comparison: least expensive
Directions: On the street behind the harbour, about half way along. Blue doors and has some French signs as Joanna who runs it with her Greek husband, Yiannis, is French. Not to be confused with others.
