The PMMA was created by a decree of King Ferdinand of Spain in January 1, 1820 and inaugurated in April 5 of the same year. We were informed by our guide, Lt. Gonzales, that one of the illustrious students of the Escuela Nautica de Manila (Nautical School of Manila) was Juan Luna whose name is proudly emblazoned on their laboratory ship.

The location of the school's been changed several times over the years until the Academy was finally moved to its current location in San Narciso, Zambales in February 1998.

This is where I graduated long time ago! It was then located at Fort Bonifacio in Makati then the Academy was relocated to San Narcisso Zambales at a former US Naval Communication Facility in 1999
