Port Townsend's major attraction may simply be the charming old Victorian era buildings along the main stretch of a few blocks along Puget Sound. The rowdiness and rough and tumble days of workers and seamen crawling the taverns are long gone, replaced with fancy shops, art galleries and eclectic places to eat, but the beautiful brick buildings still stand. This is a good place to get a feel for what a town looked like 100 years ago or more.

If you want, you can take guided walking tours (they go into the residential neighborhoods also) - or if you prefer your own schedule, you can use a sidewalk brochure. web site below details the walking tours.
