The only remaining part of this great villa is the barchesse. It once housed the guests to the villa. This property was originally owned by the Valier family in late 1500's, and purchased by wealthy VAlmarana family in 1734. They added the barchesse wings. Only the guest quarters is open to public viewing. It is a private residence. In earlky 1900's, the wings were used as storage for goods and stables, so they were not destroyed when the rest was demolished in early 1900's's to avoid payment of high taxes they could not afford. In 1908, the frescoes were also plastered over and rediscovered in 1962. These frescoes depicted the glory of Valmarana family painted by a pupil of Tiepolo called Schavoni in the mid 1700's.
Cost to enter is 6 Euro. The property is very small and may not be worth the short tour, but it is up to you.
