"Zum Ritter" Schaffhausen Things to Do Tip by pure1942
Schaffhausen Things to Do: 158 reviews and 387 photos
The beautiful 'Zum Ritter' house on Munstergasse is one of the town's most celebrated buildings. The ornate frescos and oriel windows on this building are among the finest on display in a town which is spoilt for choice in this area! The frescoes on the buildings facade are by Tobias Stimmer and were created in 1570. However, the frescoes on display today are not original, as they were removed in 1935 and are now on display in the All Saints Museum. Reproductions of the frescoes replaced the originals in 1938.
