This is a huge white mountain that has a number of fissures in it that are releasing steam. What is really impressive about this site is the starkness of it - the bleached hillside and the lack of vegetation. You'll also notice this place doesn't really roar anymore - it has quieted down over the years, but the noise from the steam in years past could be heard from miles away. There is ample parking on both sides of the road to pull off at and take a look. The viewing stage is really just a short boardwalk along the road.
