Karlsruhe Off The Beaten Path: 75 reviews and 191 photos
Stutensee ("mare's lake") was founded in the 17th century as a stud by the Marggraves of Baden. The present little palace was planned in 1748 and used by Marggrave Karl Friedrich as a base for hunting excursions.
The palace and side buildings now host an approved school for problem kids, so all you can see ist the outside and the little park. Stutensee is not worth a detour but if you pass by anyway you may want to have a look.
Location: approx. 15 kms North of Karlsruhe between Blankenloch and Staffort/Friedrichstal off the road to Bruchsal.
